It had been nice weather lately. Nice enough for the game to suddenly flourish, some bears coming out of their hibernations and wolves getting a bit bolder as some of the snow on the ground melted. It wasn’t really Spring yet, but nature had odd ways of tricking itself.
Regardless, Hrokr had decided to take advantage of the increase in game. He should hunt the predators, or they’d eat too much of the prey. The bears that had woken up were half-starved and weak, and they’d be a bit easier than normal, but also more dangerous and daring. Wolves might have gone a month or two without proper food, and they’d be weak as well…
Hrokr set his mind on wolves, though, and with his battleaxe strapped to his back, arrows at his belt, and bow in hand, he set off towards a cave he’d heard of, off the road and out of the way. Best chance that he’d get there first that way.
He was walking along the path leading out of Solitude, thinking more about what he might do to fight these wolves, not paying that much attention to his immediate surroundings.
